MOA between CUT and AiBST

On Friday the 18th of May 2018, Chinhoyi University of Technology

(CUT) and the African Institute of Biomedical Science and Technology (AiBST) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the advancement Drugs & Diagnostics Innovations for enhanced Health & Justice Delivery through Research and Postgraduate Education in Zimbabwe. Signing were the Vice Chancellor of CUT, Prof. Simbi and the President and Chief Scientific Officer of AiBST, Prof. Masimirembwa. Through this MOA, CUT and AiBST will jointly initiate four 2-year MSc programs; (a) MSc Genomics and Precision Medicine, (b) MSc Pharmaceutical Medicine, (c) MSc Forensic DNA and (d) MSc Forensic Toxicology. They will also offer a 6-months postgraduate technologist training diploma in Biomedical Technologies.

May 18, 2018 in the University Boardroom that will see the University offering four (4) MSc Medicine and Technology Degree Programs under the upcoming School of Medicine next year. The Chief Executive Officer of Chinhoyi University of Technology, who is the Vice Chancel- lor Professor D.J.Simbi and the president of AIBST Professor Masimirembwa and other senior Management officials from AIBS were signatories to the MOA. Credit goes to Dr .Chitindingu for working tire- lessly for the successful establishment of the School of Medical Sciences and Tech nology. Present also included the University Pro Vice Chancellors Professors J.Nyamangara and Z.Muranda, Dr.T.B. Bhebhe (the University Registrar), the University Bursar Dr.O.Sifile, the Librarian Mr.B.Nyagwayi, Deans of Schools and Directors among other senior staff members of the University.
