MSc Genomics and Precision Medicine
Master of Science in Genomics and Precision Medicine is designed to advance the scientific and technical knowledge and translational capabilities required for drugs and diagnostics innovations in the fight against persistent challenges of infectious diseases and emerging burden of noncommunicable diseases. This program will be complete by the current students in two years full time. The program cover many others activities such as journal club, laboratory practice and symposium.
The MSc graduates of this program will be able to harness the power of genomics for public health precision medicine solutions, thus enable sub Saharan Africa to achieve the SDGs and African Union’s Agenda 2063 goals on health and wellbeing.
At the end of this program graduate may become
- Drugs, Vaccines and Diagnostics Research and Development Scientists, Regulators.
- Entrepreneurs involved in development and commercialization of biomedical products for technology licensing or new company formation through technology transfer processes
- Competitive candidates for doctoral studies.
